Hi Hila,

That first shot is fantastic, I just love the milky reflection, so alluring, yet eerie, at one and the same time.

At least you managed to get some calm pictures of your lake. If you had been anywhere around the South and South West coasts of the UK this past week, your pictures would have been much more dramatic.

Torrential rain which hasn't let up for the past couple of months, combined with super high tides and severe gale force winds, have meant that 40ft waves have destroyed many of the coastal defences, tossing aside stone sea walls and promenades and destroying entire harbours in a matter of hours.

I dread to think what impact this is all going to have on the tourist industry, which these areas of the country rely on so heavily, not to mention the destruction of so many homes and businesses.

I always love your photography posts, I just wish I was a little more adept with a camera!

Take Care.

Yvonne

Thanks, Yvonne.

I'm sorry to read about the destructive weather in the UK; people can easily lose their homes and their sources of income; it can take a while to rebuild. (Here we still haven't recovered fully from Superstorm Sandy…)
