"Dreamers with empty hands
may sigh for exotic lands;
It's autumn in New York -
it's good to live it again."

(Billie Holiday singing "Autumn in New York" brings a smile to my heart.)

Oh, wow. I've always wanted to go somewhere that had an actual autumn, here in the pacific northwest fall is a tiny hiccup before the grey clouds roll in.

Your pictures made me sigh and imagine walking along the river in a winter coat, watching brilliant yellow leaves fall drift on the wind.

Oh, thanks to you I'm listening to the 'Autumn in New York' right this very moment. Lovely.

New York is magic at any time of year. Just when I think I'm over it I'm reminded of its charms...

You'd love it there - I took these at the lake in Central Park. A truly enchanting place.

Glad you're enjoying it! For me, Billie Holiday's version is the best one of that song.

Rain and cool air and crisp leaves, I love it too.

Those are some lovely photos. Are they old or is that truly how it looked that week? What a difference from here
